Pick Carts

The voice headset uses audible commands to prompt the operator how many products to “put” in each container. The operator then verbally confirms the correct location.

The Pick Cart mechanical configuration is custom made to meet the needs of your specific application and can be designed to hold bins, totes, boxes, or other containers.

A display on the Pick Cart directs the operator to picking locations in a logical sequence. The operator confirms the correct location using an onboard scanner. Light directed slot displays on the cart show how many products to “put” in each container.

To confirm the picks for each container, the operator presses a button on the slot display. The Pick Cart mechanical configuration is custom made to meet the needs of your specific application and can be designed to hold bins, totes, boxes, or other containers.

Cluster picking increases operator efficiency by putting several orders onto the cart so the operator only has to walk the pick face once per group of orders. This works particularly well for products that are small, because the carts can then take a larger number of orders simultaneously.

RF terminals and pick by voice technologies work well with pick carts. Picking accuracy is ensured by scanners attached to data terminals and check digits spoken into the voice system.

For cluster picking operations, each shipping carton shelf location can be equipped with indicator lamps and press buttons. This ensures that the picked items are placed into the correct shipping carton.

Cart picking efficiencies can often be enhanced with a conveyor system that routes orders between areas, or one that moves picked order totes to the packing or dispatch areas.
