Picking systems frequently produce orders in a random or un-sequenced manner. Traditionally these orders are sent to a sorter where operators have to palletize the irregular supply of product. A small ASRS system can be used to buffer these order totes until they have all been picked, and then release them to a loading station where they can all be palletized very efficiently.
