My name is Mark Grosse and I'm working at Dematic Holding in Luxembourg as Vice President Global Purchasing for our project business. I'm with the company since 1998 and started my career at Dematic Northern Europe's office in Banbury as Contract Buyer moving to Business Integration Manager and finally Head of Purchasing.

 

That was a great experience because I was given the opportunity to work on challenging tasks in various disciplines, to take ownership and move forward in my career. Since my first day I enjoyed to work with the people at Dematic in order to achieve our goals.

Aysha Maqbool, VP Finance (USA)

My name is Aysha Maqbool. I'm with the company since December 1999. During my professional career I worked in Pakistan, Germany, and USA as Corporate Banking Intern, Financial Analyst, Accounting specialist, and Planning/Reporting manager. Currently I’m working at Dematic Corp. USA as VP Finance.

 

That was a great experience, because I found opportunities to work in other countries which was challenging but at the same time extremely rewarding. It provided me chances to learn new languages and experience different cultures. I not only had chances to visit many famous places and cities in the world but met some of my best friends during these assignments. I found the key for a successful experience is to embrace differences and learn from them rather than trying force one country or culture's way of life onto the other.

I believe in today's Global economy where companies are constantly trying to find competitive niches, and searching for new markets while communication is erasing borders we need to understand and take advantage of what other cultures and countries have to offer. I highly recommend all students and young professionals to learn multiple languages and seek opportunities to work in other countries. My name is Bill Hall. I have been with the company since 1988. My current position is Director - Global Procurement.

 

During my professional career, I have worked in Illinois and Michigan (USA) as well as China. I have worked in Manufacturing, Research and Development, Program Management as well as Purchasing. These roles, along with my prior experience living and working overseas, have been a great experience to prepare me for my current assignment in China.
