Pallet Runner System

High density storage and operational effectiveness

The Pallet Runner combines the density of Drive-In systems with the benefits of pallet-flow systems and be easily positioned and repositioned by conventional forklifts. The system uses self-propelled intelligent carts that run along rails to shunt full pallet loads in and out of the high density storage structure.

 

The Pallet Runner™ can be set up for true FIFO (first-in/first-out) or LIFO (last-in/first-out) operation. Forklift operators are free to focus on bringing product to and from the system, without the need to drive into the rack, as the Pallet Runner™ cart operates automatically and independently within the system. It can operate anywhere from ground-floor level to the highest level of the rack.

Specialist wine distributor 14 degrees has opened a national wine distribution centre (DC) in Port Melbourne, creating Australia’s first high density Pallet Runner storage facility for the long-term cellaring of premium quality wines.

 

Incorporating bottling and case packing lines, the new 14,500 pallet capacity DC enables 14 degrees to offer significant supply chain benefits and savings to the Australian wine industry.
