Dematic RapidStocktake Solution

Stocktaking has traditionally been a labour-intensive and costly operation for retailers. Stores are often required to complete the task after hours and pay the relevant penalty rates, while many other stores either remain closed or offer restricted access on the days that stocktaking occurs.

Dematic’s RapidStocktake is a faster, smarter, more economical solution.

For retailers who already have a wireless LAN (WLAN), Dematic offers an extensive range of lightweight, hand-held, wireless PDTs which can be used to real-time enable data transfers, eliminating all of the time wasted uploading and downloading data in a traditional batch-driven process.

However, for the majority of retailers who don’t have access to a WLAN, Dematic, in conjunction with leading PDT supplier Motorola and retail software specialist Bizcom, has developed RapidStocktake, which utilises Bluetooth to facilitate wireless

data transfer within stores.
