Fast Moving Consumer Goods place high demands on the logistics systems of all companies involved. Relocation of production sites and the spread of markets to other regions – e.g. countries in Central and Eastern Europe – continually presents companies and their logistics partners with new challenges. At a two-day workshop in Vienna, representatives of Levis, 3M, Masterfoods, Müller Milch, Marktkauf, Roche, Zetes and Coca Cola discussed current trends and the resulting logistical demands on manufacturers and vendors. Participants agreed that Dematic is well-positioned for these developments and that for the most part, its innovative logistics solutions anticipate these trends.
