It is very useful to know exactly at what location in the central warehouse each unit of goods is at any one time. Total tracking means that goods can be delivered in the most efficient order - after all, the duration of storage of milk products is a critical consideration.
The Food&Beverage software acts here, as it were, as an information store for the high-bay warehouse. The necessary data are transferred from the material flow control system from Dematic. Around 2100 storage locations are serviced by the material flow control system, materials handling and transverse distribution car as well of course. Customer-specific requirements such as "empty" feedback processing, blocking or releasing aisles and flexible priority selection were also taken care of by the system.
