An increasing break-down of orders into a large number of smaller orders and the associated continuous rise in manufacturing and logistics costs per order required a revision of the company’s existing strategy. Also, the positive business development had nearly stretched the existing capacities to the limit. In the existing situation, outdoor storage, pallet storage, small accessories storage, order picking and prefabrication were distributed over several premises and halls. This was the reason to plan for a new central building.
A goal was also the accelerated processing of customer orders and a simultaneous reduction of costs per order.
