Dematic extends SAP's Extended Warehouse Management competence

EWM is a new multi-client capable warehouse solution from SAP and a component of mySAP Supply Chain Management (mySAP SCM). Originally developed to manage replacement parts, this solution is structured like a customer-specific Warehouse Management System. Its flexibility makes it suitable for many uses and areas and its affiliation to mySAP SCM gives it the advantage of strong integration in supply chain planning and collaboration as well as supply chain visibility. The system enables great flexibility in handling incoming goods, warehouse organization and reorganization, outgoing goods and picking.

Dematic has created customer-specific warehouse solutions based on SAP for many years and prides itself on its close, ongoing partnership with that company. This means that Dematic always has the most recent information on the SAP's newest developments and obtains EWM test systems at an early phase in order to develop the necessary know-how. Dematic can thus offer the corresponding implementations shortly after new systems are released.
