Material Flow Integration

Dematic has experience in automated material flow handling from over 1000 projects. The integration of these components works perfect, no matter if it concerns pallet conveyors, tray conveyors, monorails, stacker cranes, automatic miniloads (AKL) or the innovative Multishuttle.

Dematic implements its own mechanical-mechatronical components in its business-wide consistent standard - the Transport Interface Manager (TIM). The implemented methods are patent pending.

TIM not only offers an elegant and efficient integration of the automated Dematic material handling equipment into the software due to standardized telegrams, but also into standard scenarios for Material Flow, error handling scenarios, "business logic" implementations, best practices, software libraries, interface descriptions and much more.

The standardized controls concept increases the transparency of the whole system. TIM-compliant subsystems always react in a well-known, accurately defined way and are therefore replaceable. Best practices not only control the normal operation optimally, but also the reactions to possible error situations.

Dematic IT MFC is e.g. the first IT-product that has a direct interface to Multishuttle and therefore is integrable into a total logistic solution. Furthermore TIM offers a foundation to integrate material handling equipment from other vendors. For this special hardware adjusted TIM-adaptors are used.
