La Boutique Officielle Chooses a Dematic Solution Featuring AutoStore™ to Optimize its Logistics

Bussy-Saint-George - With 15 years of experience in online sales, LaBoutiqueOfficielle.com has established itself as a major player in fashion, streetwear, and clothing e-commerce for 15 to 25 year-olds. Since 2007, the company has been selling streetwear and urban fashion clothing and accessories on the Internet offering more than 300 brands as well as products produced by urban artists.
Because of strong growth, La Boutique Officielle had to rethink its logistics, seeking to optimize both storage space and incoming and outgoing flows.
To meet these challenges, they chose a Dematic storage and order picking solution featuring AutoStore, which provides several benefits including:
- Optimized storage space that takes into account the constraints of the building, especially its low height.
- Better allocation of resources — during peaks in activity, certain workstations can be easily reallocated to order preparation.
- Operational efficiency from the Goods-to-Person principle, which eliminates unnecessary operator movements.
The solution offers 49,000 storage locations, with the grid initially filled with 42,500 bins. There are 49 R5 robots feeding 12 workstations for put-away and picking operations. The system is controlled by Dematic Software.
La Boutique Officielle chose a Dematic solution combined with AutoStore most especially for its ability to adapt to the constraints of existing buildings. The solution will also accommodate growth because it is compatible with future extensions.
