Terms-and-conditions/policies
General Purchasing Conditions form an integral part of contracts between suppliers and Dematic.
These global general terms and conditions apply to all purchase orders issued by Dematic affiliates to suppliers for the provision of equipment, materials, services, or other specified work. They form a binding part of each order and govern the relationship between Dematic, its suppliers, and (where applicable) Dematic customers.
Dematic is committed to powering the future of commerce with integrity and innovation in an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable manner. We recognize that long-term, sustainable success requires strong partnerships built on shared values.
As a valued supplier and in consideration for doing business with Dematic, suppliers must represent and warrant that they comply with the Dematic compliance principles, human rights values, ethical labor and employment practices, and environmental product compliance.
Dematic acts in accordance to our ethic codes and compliance standards to avoid any risk that may affect our reputation.
We expect our business partners to comply with all applicable laws, not to engage in corrupt practices, to respect human rights, to comply with laws preventing child labor, not to engage in modern slavery (this includes slavery, serfdom, forced labor, and human trafficking, i.e., any form of work in which the worker’s personal freedom is suppressed in order to obtain a personal or material gain), to take responsibility for the health and safety of their workers, to comply with the relevant national laws and international standards concerning environmental protection, to be guided by the principles of sustainability, and to train their staff accordingly.
Sustainability is an integral part of the Dematic strategy, and we are working with our suppliers to establish this understanding throughout the supply chain. The Supplier Sustainability Department works on and supports various sustainability topics at Dematic:
- Human and environmental rights,
- Environmental product requirements (REACH, ROHS, TSCA, PFAS, EU-WFD, POP),
- Conflict minerals and critical raw materials,
- Greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction,
- Life-cycle-analysis (LCA) and circular economy.
Dematic uses various third-party tools to survey the topics mentioned in “general purchasing conditions”. We ask the requested suppliers to participate in these assessments.

What is supplier invoicing?
Supplier invoicing is the way suppliers request payment after delivering goods or services. Invoices act as the official record for processing payments and must meet specific requirements to be accepted.
Order management
Dematic/KION uses SupplyOn Supply Chain Collaboration as a Web EDI platform to streamline the exchange of Purchase Orders (POs), Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs), and Forwarder Pick-Up Advices (FPAs) between buyers and suppliers. This solution simplifies complex procurement processes while enhancing collaboration, transparency, and efficiency across the supply chain.
