Bussy-Saint-Georges, March 16, 2021. Dematic announces today that it has been selected by Snowleader for the automation of its new warehouse located in Le Versoud in Isère.
This project is part of Snowleader's next move and after a study conducted in collaboration with the consulting firm Etyo. Created 13 years ago by Thomas Rouault, the Snowleader company specializes in the distribution of outdoor products both by e-commerce and through a network of stores.
In order to support a strong growth and an international development, an AutoStore automated storage and order preparation solution empowered by Dematic will be deployed to automate Snowleader's logistic processes. This very first solution in France based on AutoStore's Black Line and Router technologies shall allow Snowleader to optimize their customer order fulfillment.
The AutoStore solution will be complemented by a network of Dematic's MCS conveyors for the reception of goods and the dispatch of customer orders at the exit of a CVP-500 packaging machine. All this will be driven by the WCS Dematic iQ solution. In the near future, the deployment of an AMR fleet, an additional CVP-500 and an extension of the AutoStore are already planned by Snowleader.
“The AutoStore solution empowered by Dematic will enable us to support our strong growth and peak business volumes at key times of the season, while extending our promise of next day delivery to most of our European customers with a cut-off time that we will go from 2pm to 4pm, and then to 5pm over time. These choices of automation will also enable us to rationalize the footprint of our logistics while limiting the volume of our shipping cartons, which is in line with our environmental commitments,” explains Thomas ROUAULT, President of Snowleader.
“We are delighted to count Snowleader among our references and to help them respond more easily and quickly to their customer needs,” adds Cyril TAICLET, Sales Manager of Dematic France. “The flexibility and scalability of the solution are also competitive assets for their development.”
The solution is planned to be operational in September 2021.
