Frankfurt, 15. April 2025 – Dematic plans to present an array of innovative solutions for the integration of automation in meat and protein processing plants at the largest international trade show for the meat and protein industry this coming May.

"At IFFA this year, we plan to show how companies can meet a number of challenges in volatile markets and unstable supply chains with intelligent automation solutions. Companies are increasingly relying on innovative technologies to make their processes more efficient and future-proof. We can demonstrate what this looks like in practice on-site with specific customer examples," explains Soeren Schauki, a business development manager at Dematic and frequent participant at previous IFFAs.

Dematic highlights include automated storage solutions for pallets, containers, cartons and packs as well as its Multishuttle Meat Buffer solution, which has been specially developed for chilled and frozen environments and meets demanding requirements for traceability and throughput rates.

But the stand in Hall 12 expands far beyond the Frankfurt trade show buildings – all the way to the company’s tech centre in nearby Heusenstamm in fact. An especially unique offer to visitors is an opportunity to have a tour of the location full of Dematic technologies and experience some solutions live. Shuttle services are offered up to two times daily to the Dematic Tech Center.

Dematic also plans to focus on warehouse automation for suppliers to the meat packing and protein industry, including mechanical engineering companies and retailers. They benefit from scalable solutions for material supply, component storage and product ranges from barbecue accessories to packaging materials. Solution options include compact systems such as AutoStore® for high-density storage of small parts as well as automated guided vehicles (AGV) and autonomous mobile robots (AMR) for flexible transport processes.

"Automated solutions increase safety, optimize storage and retrieval processes and increase both efficiency and productivity. In this way, meat processing and storage chains can be sustainably transformed to meet dynamic market requirements," explains Schauki.

Visitors to the Dematic stand can interactively experience how storage, transportation and picking solutions are adapted to specific business needs. Sebastian Ahl, a marketing manager for the German speaking markets at Dematic, explains: “Our virtual platform offers a unique insight into the various warehouse solutions and demonstrates the interaction between products, software and service.”

It is all there to see at IFFA and in Heusenstamm
