How automated mixed case order fulfillment works
High‑density storage
Products are stored in a case or tote buffer system, such as Dematic Multishuttle®, Mini‑Load AS/RS, or AutoStore™.
Intelligent retrieval and transport
Cases or totes are retrieved in the required sequence and automatically transported to manual or automated palletizing stations.
Pallet building
Cases are placed onto pallets by automated palletizers or by operators at ergonomic workstations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Layer stabilization
Each pallet layer is wrapped during building to maintain load stability throughout the process.
Labeling and shipping
Completed pallets are labeled according to requirements and automatically transported to the shipping area.
