Kick-off-Event for the Material Handling & Logistics Conference / Cross-industry network meeting on the topic of Supply Chain Management / Top speakers provide an impulse for personal development
Stuttgart, 5 December 2018 – Dematic invites its international customers to an exclusive network meeting for the first time. This is also the kick-off event for the new international event series, the Material Handling & Logistics Conference (MHLC), which will be held regularly at various European locations from 2020 onwards. In an informal atmosphere, companies can find out about trends and strategies along the Supply Chain Management at the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport on 18 February 2019. International top speakers provide cross-industry insights with best practice examples and innovative solutions for intralogistics. The aim is to provide the participants with impulses for further personal development. Therefore, the event is under the motto "MOVE - Your Supply Chain". A special highlight is the keynote from Prof. Dr. Michael Feindt, Founder and Chief Scientific Advisor of Blue Yonder GmbH. With the MHLC, Dematic brings an event to Europe, which has already been successful more than 30 times in the USA.
"The kick-off event gives participants a first taste of the MHLC," says Jessica Heinz, marketing director at Dematic. "The out-of-the-box approach puts even more emphasis on our customers' needs to further optimise our automation solutions on this basis." The network meeting therefore provides an opportunity to discuss both market and individual needs.
In order for the participants to find out about the very aspects that affect their business, the program is divided into four thematically defined streams. Laura Winterling, physicist and astronaut instructor, deals with the topic "work and leadership" in the first stream. The "power of data" is dedicated to Rand Hindi, co-founder and CEO of Snips, in the second stream. How companies "optimise workflows" is the topic of the third stream, which is managed by Franz Hero, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain & Logistics at SAP. As the supply chain requirements continue to increase, the fourth stream, "the next generation of the supply chain," involves three experts. Guido Baltes, director of the Institute for Strategic Innovation and Technology Management, Uwe Horstmann, futurist, investor, start-up founder and expert, and Luis Solis, director of the Advanced Learning Innovation Program at IE Business School, give insights into innovative technologies.
In addition to an industry-independent exchange of knowledge, the MHLC offers an opportunity to network in a relaxed atmosphere and thus to prepare for the adjacent LogiMAT 2019. Since there are a limited number of places, registration by e-mail is required at: email@example.com.
