Expert Synchronization with Dematic Construction Management
Synchronizing a material handling system with its facility is critical to ongoing system performance. The Dematic construction management team has the expertise to integrate supply chain facilities and building construction to maximize efficiency and minimize cost.
Complex automated material handling systems are often large and deeply woven into the process and physical layout of a client’s operation. Unlike many other assets in material handling, the building housing the system is often part of the system rather than simply a box around the system.
Expert synchronization between a material handling system and the surrounding building, in terms of design and implementation, can:
- Simplify scheduling and sequencing of installation
- Improve utilization of trades and labor
- Provide a single point of accountability
- Reduce cost through foresighted design interfaces
For this reason, Dematic, and Dematic alone, has developed a Construction Management Group to design and build best-fit buildings to house our material handling systems. This expert group understands the unique challenges and opportunities of integrated supply chain facilities, and are skilled and maximizing efficiency while reducing cost and confusion.
The result for our client is a single point of accountability that carefully coordinates the many disciplines, technologies, and activities required to deliver an integrated facility.

ISO 14001 (environmental) and 45001 (safety) are internationally recognized certifications that provide guidance and tools to ensure a company’s processes and operations meet regulatory requirements, and continually improve to better protect employees and the environment.
Companies with ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications see a drastic reduction in injuries, incidents and impacts to the environment. These certifications show our commitment to prioritize environment, health, and safety, and strive for a goal of 0 incidents.
Dematic is close to becoming ISO 14001 and 45001 certified in each of its global locations, functions, and operations, including: design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of automated material handling equipment.
