The Automated Material Handling Systems Association (AMHSA), the voice of the UK automated handling industry, will host a symposium with interesting case studies about the role of automated handling in order fulfillment. The symposium will take place on Tuesday, 13th November 2007 in the RBS Williams F1 Conference Centre located in Oxfordshire.  

As AMHSA prepares to host its first symposium, Steve Knights, President of AMHSA and Dematic employee, describes in four articles why in future companies will not be able to get around using automated handling solutions for order processing and distribution. In the first of these four articles he describes the factors at work behind the UK’s business trends that are currently favoring automation. In his second article he examines the use of automated solutions in order fulfillment. Both highly interesting articles are available below as downloads.
