The Cross Belt Sorter (Dematic S-C 100) is a highly accurate, high speed sortation system which brings the proven flexibility of sorting to your solution. It provides precise sorting by means of individual belt conveyors mounted on every carrier in the sorter loop.
The cross belt sorter combines the features of a conveyor system with those of a sorting system. It can be programmed to speeds up to 2.5 meters per second. It is suitable for conveying and/or sorting a diverse range of objects weighing up to 50 kg.
Items are tracked and controlled through the induction and offload processes reliably and gently, even at sort line speeds of 2.5m/s. Objects can be offloaded from either side of the loop. Wide parcels can be loaded across two segments and then offloaded.
The crossbelt sorter is widely used in the retail trade, food handling and e-commerce.
Double your Throughput!
Throughput can be doubled by using a double-deck sorter: The standard cross belt sorter is also available in a two-tier configuration (Dematic S-C 100 D). So, if space is at a premium, you can achieve the same throughput in half the footprint or, if operating targets are a challenge, you can keep the same footprint and double your throughput.
